Montreal, QC (NewsTechno) – As the year
2011 ends, critics and experts in the techie world have pointed out
several trends to watch out for in 2012. Among the freshest
technological advancements that will be hitting countries around the
world this year, the entertainment industry, particularly TV viewing, is
leaping into another level.
For the past years, families and households have been given only two
options for their TV viewing experience – either in a Plasma or LCD TV.
However, in 2012, LG will be launching their latest creation that is set
to revolutionize people watch on their TV; of course this is only for
those who are willing to pay big money.
LG Electronics Inc. has publicized its plan of manufacturing and
selling 55-inch TV sets that rely upon organic light-emitting diodes,
also known as OLEDs. TVs that are designed in OLED will be able to
display enhanced image quality for a more pleasurable watching
experience as well as a thinner design for a more sleeker and stylish
look. Moreover, the screen technology used in OLED TVs is also induced
in high-end android phones and offers a deeply saturated color quality
and high contrast. Analysts and experts in the field are estimating the
starting price point for OLED TV sets to be up to a staggering $5000 for
the standard set and may cost more for upgrades and accessories. LG’s
OLED TVs are designed in a 4-millimeter thick body and a weight of 16.5
pounds.
LG will be showing off their newest invention beginning on January 10
at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Aside from
LG, Samsung Electronics, which is one of LG’s close rivals, will also
be unveiling an almost commercial-ready OLED TV at the said event.
